Saw 2: Flesh and Blood

This week Dr. Syintist, Chump Slap, and Poppascotch celebrate the last week of spooky season with the sequel to the game that we talked about last year. When I think of Halloween, I always think of Saw because like, 12 years ago these movies would come out every year for Halloween and as much as it pains me to celebrate marketing, it really wasn't Halloween without Saw! The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie’s Revenge

Of course we're talkin abou- wait... what is it? *checks notes*... really? The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge? Fucking fine. 

Banjo Kazooie

This week Dr. Syintist, Chump Slap, and Poppascotch finally come around to a franchise that includes a billion characters including a talking bear, a helpful Mole, a made up bird species, an evil witch, a shit talking good witch, and a ton of anthropomorphic animals that have all had enough of the evil with. Obviously it's Banjo Kazooie time!

Cry of Fear

This week Dr. Syintist, Chump Slap, and Poppascotch gather round the campfire to talk about a game that was forged from the bones of the Half Life series that wanted to answer the question of "Should our game star an edgy teen who can't imagine being happy in life as someone who is differently able?" The question that no one asked is answered in Cry of Fear.

D (1995)

This week Dr. Syintist, Chump Slap, and Poppascotch sit down at the table to talk about a throwback to the Panasonic 3DO days with a game that laid down some foundations for the survival horror genre before it was cool. This completely blood soaked bonkers inside-yo-mind horror experience is remembered as D! Just the Letter D! Not that "D". Get your mind out of the gutter.

The Last of Us

This week Dr. Syintist, Chump Slap, and Poppascotch finally come around after multiple fan requests to discuss this PS3 classic that is widely regarded as a critically acclaimed masterclass in storytelling where a post apocalyptic United States deals with the ever growing brain fungus infestation through a series of hope filled moonshots, cannibals, and child endangerment. The game is The Last of Us! Get on in here!

Shadow Warrior

This week Dr. Syintist, Chump Slap, and Poppascotch show up to the table to talk about an underrated FPS with fantastical sword fighting elements, ancient Yokai lore, sexy assassins, comic book nerds, trickster demons, and so so much gunplay. We were excited to dive into the overlooked classic (maybe?) that is Shadow Warrior!

Rule of Rose

This week Dr. Syintist, Chump Slap, and Poppascotch sit around the table and talk about a crazy fever dream of a survival horror experience that has really flown under the radar ever since its original release. Of course we are talking about the haunted orphanage movie where crayons are drawn on people, bullying is extremely intense and celebrated and the unluckiest girl in the world somehow survives a billion traumatic events.
